Position Summary:

The CEO works with the board of directors and all constituencies of the agency to establish strategic direction and implement goals and actions in alignment with the vision, mission and values of the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide leadership, direction and planning for all agency operations, interprets and applies broadly approved policies of the Board of Directors; serve as primary spokesperson and advisor to Board of Directors in all matters and issues; lead, motivate and develop senior executive team that is actively involved in strategic direction, operational plans and financial performance of the organization; lead strategic, operational and fiscal planning, including resources allocation and priority setting; develop policies, procedures and guidelines for operating corporation from board policies; implement Board policies set by Board of Directors through specific programs and services; administer all corporate operations; lead ongoing quality assurance program with staff; prepare all grant applications and grants for all funding sources; hire, terminate and deploy agency personnel to provide agency services and achieve goals; assure evaluation of all programs and services on a periodic basis through Board reports and related data information; facilitate agency planning processes on a periodic basis; plan, implement and evaluate systematic/coordinated delivery of comprehensive health care services to improve patients’ health status & address incidence and impact of chronic diseases; assure fiscal solvency of corporation with the board through recruitment and retention of fiscally trained, educated and experienced staff; oversee implementation of human resource policies, providing positive work environment and retention of high-quality employees.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Public
    Administration, Public Health, Business Administration or related field, required.
  • Master degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive management and leadership experience in nonprofit community setting, preferably the health care industry.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • American citizenship required.

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of the principles and practice of not-for-profit community based social services andhealth care organizations. Establish and assure collaborative working relationships within the healthcare community and the community-at-large, to assure comprehensive and high-quality healthcare services and social services. Knowledge of state and federal laws, as pertaining to HHS/HRSA-BPHC regulations and policies. Knowledge of the structure, regulations and operations of federally qualified health centers (FQHC’s). Knowledge of state and federal laws, as pertaining to Federal, State and local government regulations and policies for government benefits and assistance programs. Effective communicator and culturally sensitive to diverse populations of the community. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required, including excellent verbal and writing skills. Experience and understanding of computerized accounting systems, budgets, and financial data operations, third party billing, contracting, collections, and cost-reporting (Medicaid & Medicare).

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required
Salary Range: Varies depending on experience
Work Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week
