Georgia Primary Care Association
Since 1977, Georgia Primary Care Association (GPCA) has been a membership organization for all Georgia Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). In the state of Georgia, GPCA is designated as both the state Primary Care Association (PCA) and the Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) under cooperative agreements with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

NHSC Loan Repayment Program Application Period Now Open
The NHSC loan repayment application window is now open; maximum award for primary care providers increased by 50%.
HRSA has opened the annual application window for its three National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment programs. Notably, the maximum amount available for primary care providers has increased for the first time in recent memory.
A 50% increase — to $75,000 — in the total available over two years for full-time primary care providers. A $5,000 enhancement for clinicians who demonstrate Spanish language proficiency. Applications are due by May 9th.

Meeting the Health Needs of Georgia’s Students
Centene Foundation and GPCA Partnership
The Centene Foundation and Centene’s Georgia health plan, Peach State Health Plan, are investing over $1 million to enhance comprehensive school-based health centers (SBHC) at in-need schools in Georgia. Out of the approximately 2,200 public schools in the state, only a little over 100 have SBHCs. School nurses are unable to meet students’ needs and hundreds of schools don’t have a school nurse.
